Operation principle

Tweetop Wall is a heating solution available in Tweetop Home system. It is an economical alternative to be used wherever the thermal efficiency of floor heating is not sufficient.

Wall heating ensures exceptional feeling of thermal comfort inside the room thanks to thinner layer of plaster (3-4cm) when compared to floor heating (6,5cm). Heat radiates evenly throughout the whole room which results in very pleasant and steady air temperature.

By using Tweetop Wall we acquire a unique possibility of tailoring the heating solution to the requirements of modern interior fittings and decorations. Wall heating saves a lot of space by eliminating the need for usage of regular heaters.

Summary of qualities for surface heating

  • Hypoallergenic - no dust in the air. Since there is no movement in the air which would cause dust to fly around. With surface heating allows there is simply more comfort, not only for allergic, but for all of us.

  • Economical - gives a sense of thermal comfort at temperatures 2-3 deg. C lower in comparison to conventional heating, which translates to energy savings of approximately 10-15%.

  • Perfectly suited for co-operation with condensing boilers and heat pumps

  • Tweetop Wall/Floor/Renova surface heating can also operate in cooling mode in conjunction with Tweetop heat pumps

  • Floor or wall mounting of heating makes it invisible which allows for maximum flexibility in interior arrangement.

Under any type of wall covering - plaster, tiles and wood. Using the wall coverage with certification for use with wall heating and following the parameters set in the draft for floor surface temperature, pipes spreading and supply system temperature are the main conditions of system application.

Tweetop Wall installation

Tweetop Wall can be mounted directly on the wall or on the insulation using the mounting rails.

Installation can be performed on prefabricated, brick and plasterboard walls. If demand for heat is relatively low (approx. 50 W / m2), one exterior wall should be sufficient for the installation. It is possible to install piping under the window.

  • Pay attention to the furniture and images covering the wall as they can reduce thermal efficiency. If it’s possible, move them by a minimum of 5cm from the wall.
  • In order to avoid cracks in the plasterboard, it should be strengthened with fiber-glass mesh with a mesh size ranging from 4x4mm minimum to 7x7mm maximum. The mesh must extend beyond the area of the heated parts by 25 cm on each side. At least 2 layers of plaster should be placed afterwards with one layer of mesh between them. The first layer should cover the pipe with a thickness of approx. 2/3 of total thickness, then the second layer should have a thickness of approx. 1/3 of total thickness (usually around 1,5cm)
  • The total thickness of the plaster is 3-4cm
  • It is recommended to mount the knee vent with ½ " diameter on the highest point of the wall. This step can also be omitted, in such case venting occurs by the free movement of the water in the system and slow ejection of it from there
  • Pipes can be easily located in the wall with a metal detector
