Operation principle

Tweetop Renova combines all the advantages of surface heating while being designed for implementation in places where laying a thick and heavy concrete floor is not possible.

Perfect solution for renovation of existing buildings. This system is also used in buildings based on frame construction with wooden ceilings.

In surface heating systems available in Tweetop Home system, the whole area of the floor is the heater. A sense of thermal comfort in rooms where surface heating is used is felt already at temperatures that are even 2-3 deg C lower than for conventional heating. This translates into economy of the system, since lowering the temperature inside the room by 1 deg C is a saving of approximately 6% of thermal energy, which is a significant reduction in the operating costs of the heating system.

Tweetop Renova application area

The demand for surface heating systems designed for renovation and retrofitting in existing buildings, became a reason for the creation of Tweetop Renova system.


Tweetop Renova renovation system is designed for installation in places where it is not possible to pour a standard layer of screed with load of approx. 130 kg / m2. Usually these are existing buildings, where applying additional heavy load on the ceiling is not possible. Often, the system is also used in buildings with frame construction, based on wooden ceiling.


The load on the ceiling for Tweetop Renova system is 76kg/m2 (35mm thickness) for wet screed and only 35kg/m2 (25mm thickness) for dry screed usage.

Tweetop Renova installation

Tweetop Renova surface heating system is based on 35 mm thick, formed polystyrene boards made in EPS 100 (PS20) class. Boards have special grooves carved in polystyrene for attachment of zinc plated, stamped steel plates. Thanks to those steel plates, the heat from Tweetop PERT pipes is evenly distributed.

Such prepared floor heater is then covered with a thin layer of PE foil and then, depending on the situation, wet screed pour or dry screed boards are applied.

Pipe spacing in Tweetop Renova system is based on multiplies of 125 mm, which is the spacing of grooves in polystyrene boards. Thanks to this and the usage of plates which magnify the heating effect, the renovation system can be used with every type of floor covering.
